Tierschutzverein Chemnitz und Umgebung e.V. is a dedicated animal shelter and protection organization operating since 1995 in Chemnitz, Germany. The facility rescues and rehomes lost animals, seized pets, and animals surrendered by overwhelmed owners, including dogs, cats, small animals, birds, and exotic species. Beyond shelter operations, the organization actively promotes animal welfare through adoption services, wildlife guidance, advocacy for humane livestock practices, and volunteer opportunities including dog-walking programs and membership engagement.
