Tierschutzzentrum Weidefeld is Northern Germany’s largest animal protection facility, operated by the Deutscher Tierschutzbund. Spanning 13 hectares, it provides medical care, rehabilitation, and placement for rescued, neglected, and exotic animals—including primates, bears, parrots, and reptiles—that have nowhere else to go. The center also offers training programs, educational initiatives, and guided tours to promote animal welfare standards across the region.
